How long do you have to report a car accident to insurance in Florida?

In: Cars Insurance

I had an accident yesterday (looking back we were both at fault)
At first I told the girl i would take care of it but now I am thinking we should file a report and go the conventional way? Anyone have ideas/insight/experience on/with this?

Monday surely wouldn’t be too late to file with your insurance. Don’t admit fault though, just give the facts of the accident to your company and let the two companies decide the rest of it. If she calls you directly, just refer her to your insurance company.

Added: If I remember correctly, Florida is a no fault state anyway, isn’t it? So it would be her company repairing her vehicle, and your company repairing yours.

This is a no fault state so call you insurance company and let them know. If you did not get the police involved with an accident report then it will be the insurance companies working out who will have to pay the most. Just tell the truth when you call.
