Looking for relatively cheap auto insurance?

In: auto-insurance

I am currently with Shelter Insurance and only pay about $75 a month. I recently moved to a state that doesn’t have any operating Shelter Insurance agents, however, so I have to switch companies. I tried Allstate and State Farm and they are both about $20 more a month than I currently pay. Any suggestions on other good nationwide companies?

No but it is more likely to change cause of where you are living as crime is high than where you where living before, so just take what they offer it is probably a good deal.

Not all companies write insurance in all states. That’s just how it is. And a company like Shelter that’s super cheap in one state, might be a lot more expensive in another.

If you’re getting a whole bunch of quotes, and the quotes are all in the same ballpark, then that means the insurance in the new state just costs more than in the old state.

There’s no short cut . . .you have to shop around.

You must have moved to California. It is more expensive than other states. Since the quotes your getting are all around the same, then go with the best company or agent that you find and are confortable with. Sometimes you do get what you pay for.
