Question about cheapest car insurance company?

In: Cars Insurance

30 May 2010

I am considered a high risk driver, and need to get car insurance ASAP. Was wondering what company would be the cheapest? I know Progressive was considered pretty cheap, I went threw them before. Also heard that the General was pretty cheap as well. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

And why would you go with cheap?

You’re a high risk driver for a reason.

You want the BEST insurance, not the cheapest. It’s almost guaranteed that you will get into an accident, so you want the most coverage you can get.

Unless you want to spend 10x as much out of pocket later?

If you’re that retarded, I guess it can’t be helped….but a lower premium never pays off, when it comes to lower coverage.

Companies like The General and Safe Auto usually write only minimum state limits, which are NOT enough for decent protection; if you wiped out my ‘08 Saturn in a wreck, $10,000 wouldn’t be enough to cover the loss, and you’d be on the hook for the balance, probably with a suspended license until you ponied it up. To get “cheap”, you usually have to give up something; do you want to risk giving up your license?

autoinsurance.maclenet.com – try this one. I personally have their car insurance, cause it is the cheapest for me in our area.

I was considered high risk by Geico and they said they wouldn’t cover me…unless I wanted to pay $20,000. All insurance companies offer similar coverage but what you want to know is how their payout is. Geico can be inexpensive at times but they don’t pay out on a lot of things. If you’re high risk because of accidents you’ll want to research who pays out the best and go from there. Also, if the car you are insuring is a piece of crap and not worth a lot sometimes it helps to only have the bare minimum coverage because they won’t pay out a lot to get you a new car. But IMHO full coverage is the way to go especially for any parties involved in a collision. I recently got a new car and wanted to know what the cheapest coverage would be for the best policy so I went to http://www.quoteserv.com. I got to look and compare the rates of all the companies. You could ask 100 people who the cheapest insurance company is and if there were 100 different companies you’d get 100 different answers. It completely depends on how they do things. Anyway, when I went to the site, I got all the rates and found out that Progressive was the best rate for me for what I wanted. Hope that helps!!
